Counties we shuttle
Hunter Transportation is based at Lower Falls in Tahquamenon Falls State Park. We pick up and drop off in Alger, Chippewa, Luce, Mackinac, and Schoolcraft counties — park stops, towns, lodges, trailheads, and custom addresses in those counties. Marquette, Escanaba, and the western Upper Peninsula are outside our shuttle area. Trips still depend on road access, advance notice, and vehicle availability.

Alger County
Munising, Pictured Rocks, Grand Marais, Wagner Falls, and Laughing Whitefish Falls.
Chippewa County
Sault Ste. Marie, the Soo Locks, Whitefish Point, and Brimley State Park.
Luce County
Tahquamenon Falls State Park, Paradise, Newberry, and Muskallonge Lake.
Mackinac County
St. Ignace, the Mackinac Bridge, and Straits State Park. Mackinac Island is a ferry ride from St. Ignace — we shuttle to St. Ignace, not onto the island.
Schoolcraft County
Manistique, Seney National Wildlife Refuge, and Kitch-iti-kipi at Palms Book State Park.
Why remote pickups cost more
For a park shuttle trip, the vehicle is already in the service corridor. A remote trip also requires driving without passengers before pickup and, in many cases, returning the shuttle to regular park service afterward. Your quote separates those movements so the cost is clear.

Covers repositioning the empty shuttle from the park service area to your pickup.
Return-to-Service Fee
Covers returning the empty shuttle to the park after the passenger trip. Shared morning routes may split this fee among riders.
